Kuraray Enters Fuel Cell Market

According to a recent report by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japanese Kuraray has developed an electrolyte membrane for fuel cells which increases efficiency of these cells by 160% by improving the passage for hydrogen ions and reducing that of the larger methanol molecules. With this new product the company plans to start mass production of MEAs (Membrane Electrode Assemblies) for fuel cells in 2008.
